Hiroshi Ishiguro

Hiroshi Ishiguro was born in Toyama, Japan in 1957. He received the B.Eng., M.Eng., and Dr. Eng. degrees in mechanical sciences and engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology (TIT), Tokyo, Japan, in 1980, 1982, and 1985, respectively.

He was a Research Associate with TIT and an Associate Professor and a full Professor with the University of Tsukuba. He is currently a full Professor at the Department of Biological Functions and Engineering, Graduate School of Life Science and Systems Engineering, Kyushu Institute of Technology, Fukuoka, Japan.

His background is heat transfer, thermofluid dynamics, and mechanical engineering. His current research interests include bioheat transfer and biothermal engineering, particularly cryobiology and cryotechnology.
